Can I create a Facebook profile with my son's (a minor's) name?

No, you should not create a Facebook profile using your son's (a minor's) name. Here’s why:

Facebook's Policies:

  • Facebook requires users to be at least 13 years old to create an account. Creating an account for a minor using their name can violate Facebook’s terms of service and lead to the account being flagged or disabled.

Verification Issues:

  • If Facebook requests identity verification for the profile and the documents do not match the minor's name, it can result in the account being restricted or permanently disabled.

Alternative Solutions:

  • It is best to create and use a profile with your own information. If you need multiple profiles for business purposes, consider using profiles of adult family members with their permission and cooperation.
