What if my new profile is asked to verify my identity?

When setting up a new Facebook profile, you might be prompted to verify your identity. Here’s what you should do:

Identity Verification Process:

  • If Facebook requests identity verification, you should comply by providing the necessary documents. This typically includes a government-issued ID or other forms of identification that Facebook accepts.

Steps to Verify Your Identity:

  1. Follow the instructions provided by Facebook when you receive the verification prompt.
  2. Upload a clear and readable image of your identification document.
  3. Ensure all details are visible and match the information on your profile.

Addressing Verification Issues:

  • If you encounter issues during the verification process, such as not being able to upload your ID, ensure that your browser and device settings are up-to-date. You might also try using a different device or browser.

Implications of Not Verifying:

  • If you do not verify your identity when requested, your profile may be restricted or disabled, which will hinder your ability to use Facebook’s features fully, including running ads.
